I'm speaking prematurely given nothing official has been announced regarding a takeover but I've a few thoughts on the #NUFCTakeover and how #NUFC fans will react and how pundits/opposition fans will react when this takeover happens.
As a fan of #NUFC why the fuck wouldn't I be ecstatic that the club I've supported for years might be taken over and given a new lease of life after the damage Mike Ashley has done over the years.

Does the Saudi investment cause concern?
Financially - No
Morally - It'd be remiss of me not to mention their appalling human rights record. I've been vocal in the past when Sky held the Ruiz/Joshua fight there so yes, it does raise some issues morally.

But on that, we'll have Miguel Delaney and many others bringing up this issue over and over again.
It's understandable. Football isn't just about football anymore but it's unfair to hold the fans of #NUFC accountable for this takeover.

If the various world governments and United Nations won't do anything, what exactly is the average #NUFC fan expected to do to?
They'll watch their team and likely won't give a fuck where the money comes from much like fans of other top clubs in the world.

I don't know if it's possible to seperate morals from supporting a football team because I've never been down this road before.
There are genuine concerns out there but there's a lot of faux outrage from fans who'd likely be ecstatic if their club was in this position.

Absolutely.
For years #NUFC fans have been apathetic towards their football club but there's something to be genuinely excited about given the years of shite we've been served up.

#NUFC fans aren't stupid (some might debate that) and despite all the excitement, nobody is denying the moral issues in the larger scheme of things but Newcastle United aren't the UN. They're a football club now getting a major lift.

I'm happy that I'm going to likely watch a competitive football club again.
