THREAD Hello, fam. Many of you know about the devastating tornadoes that ravaged the southern region of the US this past Easter Sunday. Chattanooga was hit particularly hard. This city is dear to Misty and I having lived and served there for 5 years. 1/
One of the great churches there had their building destroyed Sunday night by one of these tornadoes. Cornerstone Apostolic Church, pastored by former missionary Raymond Sloan (pictured), is doing an incredible work in the midst of their loss, serving as a hub for workers. 2/
I would ask you to consider giving to this worthy cause. I'm sure insurance will help to rebuild & restore, but currently they're serving their community and have overwhelming needs to meet. I'm including a link to the online giving portion of their site. …https://cornerstone-apostolic-church.square.site
Any amount will help and by tomorrow they'll have a tornado relief designation on the site, as well. If you give today, just give into the building fund & they'll disperse as needed. These are trustworthy stewards and kingdom minded people. I urge you to prayerfully consider. 4/
Here some more info and footage of the damage. We know many ppl in the neighborhoods represented in these drone shots. Are hearts are breaking for them. However, we praise God for His hand of protection on so many that survived this devastation. 5/ https://www.timesfreepress.com/news/local/story/2020/apr/13/least-nine-dead-dozens-hospitalized-and-150-buildings-damaged-after-storms-and-tornado-rip-through-chattanooga-area/520573/
If you cannot give, please cover these ppl in prayer. Also, help me to spread the word and raise awareness of their plight. END THREAD 6/
