For all the people suddenly realising the crisis in social care...it gives me zero pleasure to say we told you so.

It& #39;s not simply the money, though undoubtedly does the labour not merit an appropriate income?
It& #39;s the value placed on the act of caring, the rights that ought to be alongside our many responsibilities.

Right to time off/holidays
Right to health and safety training/equipment
Right to emergency care
Right to an occupational pension.
I don& #39;t have any of these as an unpaid carer.
I want my life/Joff& #39;s life reflected/represented in the Scottish Government.

But as our family normally benefits much from a day service, in the past residential short break respite, once a month Crossroads care...the value placed on care workers is woeful.
Joff& #39;s carers are amazing people, humane, pragmatic, funny & nimble. They enrich our lives so much.
