So, my father is 3d printing face masks with the intent to donate them to local healthcare workers and people of the like who need them. A thread;
The process is coming along nicely and he's even been in contact with the local fire department and they are asking for 20 masks.
However, he is running out of supplies and has created an Amazon list containing all of the items that he needs to continue this project.
Here is said list; https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/35UUAT1MJPOME?ref_=wl_share
The main thing that he's using up fast is the filament (the rolls of plastic that the 3d printer uses to print these masks). Each roll produces up to 15 masks.
If you have questions about any of the logistics, validity or safety of the masks (or anything for that matter) feel free to DM me.
I'm sharing all of this in hopes that the right eyes will be able to see this and will maybe be able to donate to the cause. People are able to view the list and order things, delivered straight to my dad.
If you're not able to donate, it's completely understandable. These are hard times. But I would ask you to please retweet and share this thread so that more and more people can see this.
Even if you don't feel like sharing, I hope this at least gives you some hope for the dark world that we live in today. Thanks for your time and stay safe out there
