No. It’s important to start this thread by saying, 95% of people procrastinate to some degree. It’s just a bad habit that is instilled in all humans. So don’t beat yourself up if you procrastinate sometimes. But here’s how to minimise it!
1) Recognise that you’re procrastinating https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤔" title="Thinking face" aria-label="Emoji: Thinking face">

We make up excuses to give us a reason not to do work. But if you catch yourself making up stupid excuses then you need to ask yourself - why am I procrastinating? This can help you figure out how to solve the problem from the root.
2) Solve the problem of why you are procrastinating https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤭" title="Face with hand over mouth" aria-label="Emoji: Face with hand over mouth">

• If you feel unorganised - try to make a to-do list or schedule
• If you’re worried about failing on a task - ask someone to help you or complete easier tasks first
• You feel burnt out - rest before you start work again
3) Prevent procrastination before it happens https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤫" title="Shushing face" aria-label="Emoji: Shushing face">

It’s hard to get out of a procrastination cycle once you’re in one.

So follow the steps on the next slide to help yourself prevent procrastination in the first place!
- forgive yourself for procrastinating in the past

- be held accountable e.g tell someone you need to finish a task, then get that person to check up on you

- complete the hardest tasks at your peak times e.g if you work best in the morning then do the hard tasks at that time
- minimise distractions, because once you get into a work flow, you won’t want to stop

- change your language e.g instead of saying you ‘need to’ finish a task, say you ‘want to’ finish a task

- reward yourself when you finish a task with a short break so you don’t burn out
