Why, seriously why print this? It’s nothing more than the worst attempt to damage a government I’ve ever seen. The government haven’t withheld PPE! So saying this now, is all about how the new leader wants you to act! This is all about him! He said he wouldn’t do this crap.

It’s hard to write a thread arguing against these cheap shots at the moment. However, Labour tabled an amendment to the Queens Speech it was defeated. Now I ask this, why do Labour hate our Armed Forces?

They are the ones now making the logistics work to move PPE around the U.K. with literally “military precision”. They have been there at every flood, building defences, helping people to get out their homes safely. They’ve been building hospitals during this crisis!

While they were doing that they still had their job to do! They have been in Afghanistan, Iraq and a lot more places that most people don’t know about and don’t really care to look.

They’ve been ready to stand in and take over from the fire service if they decided to strike, they’ve been training harder than any Army in the world, going to places like the Antarctic and Deserts to test to the extremes.

They do all this training so they can defend democracy in the U.K. that papers like the Independent would throw away like it’s cheap and meaningless, they also do it without any recognition from the media!

The media will thank the nurses now, they’ll thank them again and again, but do they thank soldiers and veterans? No. Because they would risk being accused of promoting war, (any soldier that’s been to “war”, always wants peace more than even Corbyn could comprehend).

The 1% pay rise for public sector workers including nurses isn’t the full story. They also get an incremental pay rise each year, meaning they get 1% + the additional amount for the pay rise

It’s a staggering figure. The maximum a nurse can earn is £104,927 - that’s a lot of money. Obviously that takes a lot of work, promotions and being a damn good nurse. However, it’s a lot of money!

Well let’s give you something to think about! What’s a comparable rank to the best “nurse” apparently a brigadier who earns about £104,202 less than the highest a nurse can earn. (We aren’t looking at Doctors, who you’d compare with officers though, we are looking at nurses)

The top soldiers pay is (WO1) £48,438 that’s the best soldiers in the British Armed Forces, no where near what a nurse can earn. How many men and women does a Brigadier have under their command? Around 10,000 men and women.

The Tories voted against an amendment to the Queens speech and even if we had paid Nurses more, this pandemic would still be happening! It wouldn’t change anything! So this is political point scoring, it’s like they want to have the MPs targeted.

Next time you use nurses (as they did in 2017) to make people look bad (the Tories) remember they aren’t the only public paid workers that haven’t been given huge pay rises! They at least have the full UKs unending gratitude, veterans and soldiers, Jeremy would of hung us out...

It would take around 3 years for a qualified nurse to be earning over £30k it will take a soldier around 6 years to achieve the same. One huge difference between roles, being a nurse doesn’t put your body through that much pressure you have little hope of no long-term damage

I would also like to ask the papers how many soldiers have died of Coronavirus? They are quick to jump on the 23 doctors and nurses that have tragically died, do they care about the soldiers still protecting embassies across the world? Still doing their jobs? Have they asked?

So my last serious ask of all journalists, can you please stop being so politically biased, stop trying to turn the county against the government (which could turn them against the lockdown) and stop making the news and just start reporting it....

Doctors, nurses and soldiers live life to core values, both professions are selfless, they both gain nothing by what you’re clearly doing. The public (including Labour Voters) support the gov! You can’t turn a nation against it’s leaders with cheap headlines! #TeamBoris
