Because I’m talking about it in a thread that many folks will likely see, I’m going to say this publicaly.

I have personally been the victim of sexual assault. I am lucky that it wasn’t violent and that it hasn’t impacted me nearly as hard as those close to me.

I will not be taking questions, but I will say that it happened in my adulthood.

When I talk about issues related to sexual assault, this comes from a place of concern and care and experience. Telling me I don’t know what I’m talking about on this topic is incorrect and unfair.

There are many of us who are facing the current political climate and who are uncomfortable with two candidates both holding different track records of sexual misconduct. We’re not pumped and shouting us down is not the right way to handle it.
