It is my fervent belief that we, @fiannafailparty, should NOT enter coalition with Fine Gael. It goes against everything in my belief system that we should enter coalition with them. I was totally against Confidence and Supply. This is even worse.

We campaigned to oust Fine Gael. We strove to do that. Knocking on doors every day, looking to defeat them. Plus Fianna Fail and Fine Gael are not compatible and never will be. Our greatest and bitterest rivals. It is heresy to enter coalition with them.

I have said before - Let the current Government in place until all the coronavirus is sorted. However long that is. They are doing well. Credit where its due. Then a new General Election. No ifs, buts or maybes. Thats how to do it.

The lust for power of our party leader, and others, is going to destroy us. Mark my words. This period in Government will be the last dance for our party. We will not be trusted again. We are leaving the door open for a Sinn Fein landslide in 5 years time.

It is time to go into opposition and rebuild properly. From the grass roots up. Not the top down. We need to revitalise the party. A radical overhaul needed. A new leader is needed. Definitely. Micheal gave huge commitment to his role. But his time is up.

We need our identity back. We're no longer Fianna Fail The Republican Party. Now we are just Fianna Fail The Party. We have long ago gone away from our position left of centre. We're now right of centre. Not our natural habitat in any way.

We used to be the party of the lower class. The ordinary man. The small farmer. The poor. We were the party of free education. Rural electrification. Social housing. We have lost our identity. Whats our identity now? An Ireland For All? Whats that?

I will be voting against the proposed coalition with FG, when the vote happens. No, to a party that is in the same European political group as the ruling Hungarian Fascist party. Also a party that had its own Fascist group in the past here - The Blueshirts.

A final point to make. I said we are leaving the door open for a @sinnfeinireland landslide in 5 years time. Thats the most dangerous outcome of all. Having that provo and army-led party having full access to the Dept of Justice and the Garda Files. Stop.

To clarify that my opposition to a coalition with FG is not solely on historical differences and the Civil War etc. Thats all a long time ago. It is part of my opposition alright buy only a small part. The incompatability of the parties is the main reason.

Fine Gael are doing ok in this crisis. But for 9 years they provided governing that was very poor. Atrocious in certain areas - Health, Housing, Rural Ireland. We campaigned to get them out. Yet we are now going in with them! You couldn't make it up!
