PPE. SAME PROBLEM, DIFFERENT LOCATION

1. I had an email from my cousin in Canada today. She's a business advisor for the Ontario Investment Office (local government). Here's what she says in regard to PPE:
2. 'Mom is going to be sewing us some homemade masks. We have a critical shortage of medical supplies in Canada, and the government has asked that all medical supplies be left to front line health workers & essential workers.
3. This week they have changed their stance on homemade masks, saying they would help reduce people from spreading the virus, but not an effective barrier from catching it. I'm so lucky that Mom sews...
4. There are lots of people who are not good at following directions and not good at social distancing. Sigh.
5. I've been working from home. I have been redeployed to help triage incoming offers of emergency supplies from companies & individuals & helping companies ramp up manufacturing capabilities for essential medical supplies.
6. It's interesting work, and I welcome the change from my regular job, but it's very high stress.'
7. As you can see from my cousin's email, the difficulties with PPE are not confined to the UK. There is a global shortage due to a global pandemic.

It's about time the MSM acknowledged this obvious fact & stopped blaming national governance for a global shortage.
