To say protesting or going to church is “non-essential” is to miss the point entirely. It’s not that any particular act of protest or worship is essential in the sense of being a physical necessity. It’s that the RIGHT is essential as in inherent to our nature as human beings.

And if you disagree with me on this point, that’s fine. But you are then denying the very doctrine upon which our nation was founded.
