Thread on Jerry Jeudy
Jerry Jeudy is one of the best (if not the best) route runners that I have ever scouted.

His suddenness in and out of breaks makes him extremely difficult to cover.
Notice how Jeudy works in the corner's blind spot to get open on this play. That is nuance.
Love Jeudy's deep route running. He has a great understanding of timing his breaks based on the defender's positioning. He is also able to go in and out of his breaks while maintaining his top speed.
Jeudy has great straight line speed to be an effective deep threat in the NFL.
He knew right away this was a touchdown.
Jeudy is so elusive after the catch. He has a great feel for making defenders miss with elite stop/start ability. He has claimed a lot of ankles on the field.

I usually don't include multiple video angles, but this one is too much fun.
He made LSU look foolish trying to tackle him last year.
Stops on a dime.
Jeudy is so slippery out in the open field.
My only knock on Jeudy is his ability to make catches in contested situations. At times, it seems like he shies away from contact.

Notice how Jeudy pulls up at the end of his route and is unable to focus on catching the ball with the oncoming defender.
I wouldn't say his hands are bad, but it is an area that he can improve. He needs to eliminate easy drops like this.
In fact, Jeudy had two dropped TD's this year against LSU. That can't happen in a huge game like this.
However, Jeudy would go on to redeem himself the very next play. Jeudy does seem to body catch quite a bit too.

His contested catch ability is a slight negative, but honestly I'm not too worried because Jeudy separates so well.
I really like Amari Cooper as a comparison for Jeudy, but with a little more wiggle to his game. They both may have the occasion drop, but win with elite route running and twitchy cutting ability.
