So US Soccer:

1. Created the girls DA, which nobody asked for
2. Undercut the burgeoning ECNL
3. Weakened the development ecosystem across the board
4. Proved to be incapable of organizing and developing talent well
5. Closed the girls DA

All in 3 years.

The money and resources US Soccer spent (and didn't spend) on the girls DA, only to make development worse, and then close up shop with the landscape worse than when they entered it is truly astonishing. Even for a federation from which we expect failure.

Imagine if any part of youth soccer development in this country was centered around the kids and what is best for them.
