I have one question: why?

A lack of aesthetic sensibility is forgivable, but a perverted sense of beauty is disordered.

As Benedict XVI says of a theologian with no appreciation of beauty:

"Blindness and deafness toward the beautiful are not incidental; they necessarily are reflected in his theology.”
