1st time I voted was for Obama in my junior year of college, after having my entire adolescence defined by G.W. Bush I believed things could get better

now I'm 12 years older, drowning in debt w/o healthcare, economy is crashing again, and he just crushed my last electoral hope

just on a personal level I feel like I've come full circle now politically, all the same actors are there but the suspension of disbelief is all gone, my hope for a better future won with a vote dying where it was born: with Barack Obama trying to tell me what I want to hear
