First we’re going to talk about how Pogba literally CARRIED France in the group stages with him playing a vital role in EVERY SINGLE goal they scored

France’s first game: France 2-1 Australia. As the scoreline shows France absolutely scraped this win.

France’s 1st goal came from a penalty where VAR had to intervene but the penalty came via a world class pass from Paul Pogba as shown in this clip

Australia pulled one back via a penalty, France needed a goal and guess who stepped up? Paul Pogba. Via beautiful link up play between him and Giroud, Pogba scores the game winning goal which secured France the 3 points against Australia.

France’s 2nd game: France 1-0 Peru, another group stage game that France scraped.

Once again(notice the pattern) Pogba plays a crucial part in the game winner.

As shown in the clip, Pogba wins the ball back and plays a great ball to Giroud which leads to Mbappe scoring.

France’s final group stage game: Denmark 0-0 France. Fun fact: Pogba didn’t start this game and another fun fact? France didn’t win this game with this being the only game they didn’t start Pogba. Coincidence? No, this just highlights France’s struggles without Pogba.

Group stages OVER. France get out the group stages extremely unconvincingly but one key aspect of the group stages that is never talked about is how Pogba CARRIED France in the group stages. Onto the round of 16.

Overall(1/3, Pogba simply dropped a historic World Cup campaign with both him and Mbappe being the 2 best players in the French team. He proved all of his haters wrong and people with actual football knowledge would know that he was world class then and still is world class now.

Before the World Cup, Pogba was one of the world’s most hated players and I personally expected all this disrespect to disappear after he delivered greatness in the World Cup. Well I was wrong, and to this day he’s still disrespected and even compared to GRAEME SOUNESS.
