From elsewhere in the northwest (Eden catchment) this plot shows decline of both soil moisture and river flows.....
Different story here in the Thames valley where soil moisture also shows steep declines but river flows in some Chalk catchments (like the Pang here) remain notably high, sustained by the exceptional winter rainfall.
