A handful of Golden Books I pulled off the shelf that were obsessions of mine as a child.

I would look at the pictures over and over.

Rediscovering some of these titles as an adult brought tears to my eyes because the pictures were engrained in my mind.
Chipmunk’s ABC was just an absolute favorite of mine.

Richard Scarry’s early animal art is some of the most beautiful, whimsical and influential art that I loved growing up.
When I first found this copy, I couldn’t believe how I recalled every detail of each picture.

I knew the box of ice cream, the fields of flowers, the frog playing an oboe, the cheese, the punch, and animals in hats. I still find these endlessly delightful.
I’ll add more photos to this thread later.

Each discovery of these books was so important to me.
