30 people maybe more knew about the troubling behavior of Nikolas Cruz before he killed 17 people in MSD on February 14, 2018. Some were reported and some were not.

here, some reports before the attack:

19x: he was seen with knives, bullets or firearm.
11x: he talked about wanting to hurt and kill people.
8x: he spoke about his hatred toward a group of person one just one person.

3x: he made a specific statement about shooting up a school.

on february 16, 2018 the fbi report that a month earlier, a relative of nikolas had contacted the agency to warn that he possessed a weapon, intented to kill people and could be involved in senseless behavior. however, the information was not forwarded to the local miami office.

deputies with the broward county sheriff's were alerted for his behavior many times over the years, they have released details of numerous calls to the his home, and two deputies are now under internal investigation for their handling of his case.

his neighbors described him as a trouble kid.
"he had a very cold stare," said rhonda roxburgh, a neighbor of the cruz's family. over the years, he got in several fights with other kids, and once bit a neighbor's ear, injuring him.

brody speno, who grew up two doors down from nikolas, also said he would hurt small animals, and that he was "always getting into trouble. like, evil kid."

many of his earliest encounters with police were prompted by lynda cruz, his adoptive mother with who he was often unruly, disrespectful and sometimes violent.

brody speno also said that police were at nikolas' home almost every week.

he was just as unruly at school as he was at home, racking up more than two dozen infractions between 2012 when he was in middle school,through January 19, 2017 shortly before he withdrew from stoneman douglas, according to his disciplinary records from broward county schools.

his behavior made the students and teachers around him uncomfortable, according to laurel holland (his english teacher in 2016) he was disruptive and unruly, cursing her out during a midterm exam and being caught with a gun-related object in his backpack.

more concerns about his mental health were raised in september 2016, days after his 18th birthday. after a breakup with a girlfriend, he post images of himself cutting both his arms on snapchat.

his mom told investigators from the DCF that he had written racial slurs and drawn "a nazi symbol" on his bookbag.
dcf report which described him as a "vulnerable adult due to mental illness"concluded that his "final level of risk is low" because he lived with his mother+

was receiving mental health treatment and was attending school.
