So the name of the book is "The Worst Birthday Ever." Before reading, he makes a text-to-self connection by discussing his birthday and how we all want to enjoy our birthdays. This is a good way of introducing the text.
Okay, so he& #39;s attempting to read with expression. He& #39;s not that bad. His tone is not dull.
I like how & #39;conversational& #39; he sounds. Sounds like he& #39;s chatting to me. Unfortunately, you have to be careful with kids. You need to model how to read kahle, pronounce words properly, pause, demonstrate through your voice when you& #39;re encountering certain punctuation marks.
Now the character explains that the aunt had to stay with them because they had domestic issues.
Sbu says he doesnt know what those domestic are.

That back and forth between Santi and the main character (I forget her name) is great! Sbu really switched up his voice and showed that they were arguing about their age.

Too conversational. I can& #39;t tell when he& #39;s reading and when he& #39;s discussing what he has read.

Love the quick explanation of the difference between waiter and waitress.
He needs to pause and ask the right questions. There are so many discussion points here.
