Only thing I would add--and I'm sure V knows this--is that fugue states are very common during this kind of traumatic overload. You know that thing where you sit down, blink, and fifteen-twenty minutes have gone by and you can't remember what you were trying to do? That. Or more.
"But this isn't really trauma. I'm fine. It's not like I'm on the front lines!" Sure. Not everyone is experiencing this event in the same way. But you are still in the middle of a global trauma. Your way of life has changed dramatically and the future is deeply uncertain.
You psyche knows this even if your conscious brain doesn't. It might be a long time before you are able to process the extent of the threat you are feeling right now. That's a necessary coping strategy and a good thing, but it does mean a lot of cognitive dissonance right now!
