Unless this is a great hoax, academics are really far up their own asses. If it is a hoax, it demonstrates this very well.

Yes, exactly, which is why we tried to avoid calling it a hoax. This guy has discovered our point and is trying to own us with it because most people missed it. This is the most postmodern thing ever.

Having now finished it, this paper is either a hoax attempting to reveal how far up their own asses academics' heads really are or an unintentional expose of the same. I'm honestly in shock still. This is amazing. Bad day for academia, though.
