Every day @NightingaleLDN all the clinical leads and teams who are free, gather for a quality and learning session. What have we learned and how can we implement improvements and do it quickly? Everyone on the same mission, trying their utmost to attend to every detail 1/2
..and we learned today about some particularly special compassionate care delivered on behalf of families for patients. After this, we will be measured and we’ll measure ourselves, on how we did the human bit. But making anything other than direct clinical care a top priority 2/3
..is difficult given the pressures at the bedside, and requires dedicated teams of people who wake up in the morning thinking about advocating for families, and delivering the best we can for them. Phone calls to families are rewarding and vital, even if it’s once a day.
