When I put my pronouns in my bio, it was because it makes some other people more comfortable interacting with me and goes a small way toward normalizing the practice, which will help those who are often misgendered.

Pronouns harm nobody, cost nothing, and make some people more comfortable. From a moral reasoning perspective, it doesn't seem complex.

Of course, I'm not a hack who owns libs by engaging in ethically questionable research without IRB approval, so my perspective might differ.
