African/Diasporic Traditional Religions require sacrifice PERIOD. Y’all know them Greece-Roman/Norse/Celtic deities Neo-Pagans co-opted require blood too.

Not offering animals is actually VERY New Age.

If you wanna talk Abrahamic Religions, I can list many verses of animal sacrifice in the name of Yahweh.

It is imperative for the animal that is being sacrificed to be treated with the highest respect and elevation, or else the offering will not be accepted. Spirits hate mess.
