“But sláintecare wont solve the waiting lists” is the strawiest of straw men. What solves the waiting list is more staff, more equipment, better pathways. There’s absolutely nothing in Slaintecare that stops any of that.

What people need to get their heads around with Slaintecare is that this is what the people of Ireland have chosen to replace the current model which is intolerable to them. Our duty is to advise yes, but ultimately to make it work. There’s nothing wildly radical in it by any

honest interpretation of the centrist/social democratic Western European settlement. People need to start coming up with some better reasons that we can’t have that.
