Thoughts inspired by @EpsilonTheory @DiMartinoBooth @JacksonStewal @LukeGromen. Something great about America, in simple terms, hear me out:

You would be penalized for being weak, or stupid...yet, by&large, still had been better off than in most places - even if you were both.
This, had driven our country to greatness. This was part of the main tenets of capitalism...strength, effort, intelligence was rewarded - where you lacked in one area, you could make up in another. However, we no longer incentivize this. We’ve replaced capitalism, with cronyism.
We are, yet again, borrowing from future generations’ opportunities to take risks and profit from prudent decision-making by, instead, socializing the losses of those that had taken imprudent risks across the backs of those that are unaware, or that had made prudent choices.
Trump fans - DJT accurately called out our economy as a ‘big, fat bubble’ in the 2016 election...The TCJA could’ve been meaningful for middle class *IF* congress hadn’t peeled out the mandate for hiring Americans/domestic wage growth in order to qualify for repatriation benefits
He was absolutely right to redirect our relationship with China...he should not be promoting these bailouts.
Trump haters - ‘08 bailouts fundamentally transformed this country to promote zombie corporations/anemic growth/ unproductive degrees/activities, artificially lowered int rates incentivized buybacks (why invest *in* a Corp, if CEO is rewarded for debt/using cash to buy shares).
We fixate on every perceived, or actual, inequality (both, often created by our politicians) - except for the biggest one, which has been rotting this country...the penalty for being stupid, or weak, goes away if you own enough assets.
To people that give a shit about this country - neither of these parties 👆🏼 took meaningful action to promote your liberty, freedom, and pursuit of happiness...We are mortgaging out our country to subsidize unproductive behaviors.
Take away the USD as world reserve currency, and what do we have? How is this a sustainable path forward? How do any of our politicians create a vision that gets us on the right path?
@LibertyBlitz @solutionomics and others that I can’t immediately think of, have helped shape my views as well. If you’re not following all of these people, you should take a look. Somehow, we’ve got to get this ship in the right direction, and we can’t rely on political heroes.
