get your Council as Highway Authority to install temporary/emergency cycle lanes/footway extensions/filtered permeability. E-mail Councillors accordingly.
* Ditto MPs: stress importance to you of walking and cycling and concerns about speeding.
* Contact local roads and

traffic police re-concerns about lower levels of care and speeding. Thank them for addressing these problems when they are.
* I don't know how well people will take to DIY stuff at this time - your choice. Point is to have formal, legal changes to highway environment (+ more

roads policing).
* We all have other pressures, but this is an absolutely crucial time.
