Might as well fantasise about stealing books from the library post-quarantine
I’ll gradually return my many stolen books that I still have at home and while I do so, I’ll replace them with my absolute favourites from the library’s stock.
Firstly, I’ll have to snatch the teeny tiny hardcover copy of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. It’s SO cute. It could fit in my pocket, is in mint condition and, much like myself, won’t be missed as no one notices it tucked away in the back. Libby’s patrons are ingrats.
If I nab all of Holly Black’s The Folk of the Air trilogy the same day I get that Austen, it’ll be my greatest heist yet....
and my most suspicious, seeing as if I took one of each TFOTA book, there would be only one (the first in the series) left. I’m still gonna do it because IDFC.
I’m debating on getting the Winternight trilogy by Katherine Arden. I think this one may have to be fully read before making a commitment.
I’m currently feeling sad because I don’t know when I’ll next be inside a library. If I don’t have reading material for the summer, I’ll go stir crazy.
But I make this thread with the expectation that I will go sometime SOON.
As for the Winternight trilogy, I will keep The Bear and the Nightingale and bring the two other installments also. I don’t need a repeat of my mental state whenever I remember I took The Wicked King right before quarantine and now have no access to The Queen of Nothing.
