We will be sharing some tips on how you can educate your kids about Sex at 8 pm today. Don't miss this! 🤗 #SexEducation #parenting101 #BreakingNews
There is a popular saying that 'If you don't give your children Sex Education, they will learn about Sex from outside' 🤷‍♀️. Parents know this but the challenge is 'How do you go about it?' 🤔

THREAD
While older generations of African parents managed to skip having conversations about sex with their kids, sadly, the 21st-century kids we have now (Gen Z and the ones following 😬), live in a highly sexualized society 🤦‍♀️.
So as awkward as you may find it, it's Best Practice to teach your kids about Sex and Sexuality. Kids these days are exposed to sexual language, images, and behaviours before they are prepared to handle them.
Use these 5 steps to prepare your kids ahead
First, like ABC, start with the Basics
Say it as it is. Don't use 'willy' in- place of 'penis'. Use the exact or the closest correct word for all terminologies.
Explain things in detail and let your kids be free to ask you just about anything regarding Sex. Create a safe and friendly environment so you remain their reference point for clarity on the subject
You need to know. Do your research. Find out trending slangs and their meanings
Finally, if you want it to stick, you will need to repeat yourself over and over again 🙂.
Don't get tired until you're able to instil the right moral values in your children 👪. Remember, if you don't teach them, they will learn it in school, from their friends, on TV, on social media etc (the list is endless!).
Have you had the Sex Talk with your child? 😃🤔
How did it go? We love to hear from you 🤗🙂
