"The physicists (...) not only showed that the quantum link can be sufficiently cooled down, but also that it can be used to reliably transmit quantum information between two quantum chips. (...) they created an entangled state between the two chips via the quantum link." 2/n

If the deterministic generation of remote entanglement refers to the @nature paper cited at the end of the article, that's confusing - that result didn't rely on the 5-metre-long link, right? That used a shorter coax cable. Or am I wrong? 3/n, n = 3
