There’s a lot of work to be done in improving queer representation in media.

While it’s improved over the past decade there’s still so much more that we can do, and we can start by hearing more queer voices tell their stories.
Executives saying there’s no audience for queer stories, or that now is “not the right time.”

I call bullshit. They’re afraid of losing money and advertising.

We are our own audience and we are everywhere, honey. There’s so much untapped potential in our community.
Check out my podcast & hear what it’s like for the queer community currently working in entertainment.

Listen to how they persevered through hardships and how they grew up without guidelines on how to figure yourself out.

Then hear how they work to bring us more representation.
If you’ve followed me for a while you know how passionate I am about LGBTQIA+ representation.

Please, friends, share this thread and help me showcase these amazing stories I’ve collected. They deserve to be heard. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/entertainment-queerly/id1503212363
