working for corporate America is fun and all until shit hits the fan & you realize that anyone & everyone is disposable .
so I made a big girl decision yesterday to put in my two weeks notice & to walk away from my corporate job!

Yes, the pay and benefits are great. But I can’t work for a company that won’t fight for its employees. Where profit matters more than people

my mom is going to kill me
I worked hard during my undergrad career to get to where I am now. However the past month has been mentally draining when you’re the bearer of bad news & hearing people cry/frustration

But there’s nothing you can do because higher ups are too focused on $$$ their losing
I have the skills & experience but not the strength to work for corporate america. I was raised with a big heart & my boss warned me about how it can stop me from going to the top.

If taking food from peoples tables is what it takes to get me there then I’m not the right fit
moral of the story is don’t lose yourself working for a company that only values you temporarily ..

Do I regret it? Yes and No lol. Will I work for corporate America again after the pandemic ? No. Right now I just want to sleep till next year.

Thnk u for coming to my TedTalk
