Keep cats indoors, people! Or on a leash. Especially now when incubating birds, nestlings and fledglings get annihilated.
Luckily we're still on track here. The incubating bird never left her eggs, neither during the cat-attack, nor even when I took the whole front of her house off to check!

The PI and Co-I have been working at this application for a month solid and finally getting to the stage of bouncing budget and lay summary back and forth frantically before submission deadline
Just alluding to the blue tit collaboration visible from my desk - I’m not currently capable of anything as hectic as meeting a deadline!
Ahh I missed them leaving the nest a few days ago, so I was happy to see one of my babies this morning. It almost certainly* hatched from the egg that started this thread 6 weeks ago.
