Reflection from a Year 3 #QalamSeminary student about reliance on Allah ﷻ:
"It's truly a blessing to learn the words of our Prophet ﷺ to give us hope during these trying times 1400 years later:
Ibn Abbas ؓ narrated that the messenger of Allah ﷺ said, '70 thousand people from my ummah will enter Jannah without hisaab. Among them are those who have tawakkul.' [Bukhari and Muslim]
Now what is tawakkul? We learned from our teacher Mufti @hussainkamani that Junaid Baghdadi ؒ said that true tawakkul is to become for Allah ﷻ as if you don’t exist anymore, i.e. to become reliant on Him as if you’re not even part of the equation...
as if your personal interests don’t matter, relying on what Allah ﷻ has determined for you without worrying about what's going to happen to you. Once we have taken the precautions we can, we must remember that Allah ﷻ will take care of us as He has always taken care of us...
and be content with Allah's decree regardless of the outcome. How fortunate would we be to enter Jannah, everlasting bliss, without having to answer about all our deeds in front of Allah ﷻ and all of humanity? May Allah ﷻ make us among them."
