Reflection from a Year 3 #QalamSeminary student about reliance on Allah ﷻ:
"It& #39;s truly a blessing to learn the words of our Prophet ﷺ to give us hope during these trying times 1400 years later:
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ، هُمُ الَّذِينَ...عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ ." مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ
Ibn Abbas ؓ narrated that the messenger of Allah ﷺ said, & #39;70 thousand people from my ummah will enter Jannah without hisaab. Among them are those who have tawakkul.& #39; [Bukhari and Muslim]
Now what is tawakkul? We learned from our teacher Mufti @hussainkamani that Junaid Baghdadi ؒ said that true tawakkul is to become for Allah ﷻ as if you don’t exist anymore, i.e. to become reliant on Him as if you’re not even part of the equation...
as if your personal interests don’t matter, relying on what Allah ﷻ has determined for you without worrying about what& #39;s going to happen to you. Once we have taken the precautions we can, we must remember that Allah ﷻ will take care of us as He has always taken care of us...
and be content with Allah& #39;s decree regardless of the outcome. How fortunate would we be to enter Jannah, everlasting bliss, without having to answer about all our deeds in front of Allah ﷻ and all of humanity? May Allah ﷻ make us among them."
