Migrant workers are herded in camps but not allowed back to their own villages.

Some meals provided for them and they should be grateful, that is what Indian society has come to accept as acceptable.

They are scared, very afraid of their future and trust me they are going to bear the brunt of the post quarantine years economically.

Who is promising they will be taken back to their villages? They will be given healthcare access, or food or cash assistance? 2/6
How have we come to this? What kind of country are we, that this sort of treatment of our fellow citizens is not even questioned but actually celebrated from our balconies? 3/6
How do some people knowing all this is happening tweet to the CMs for frivolous things like school homework? unavailability of imported goods? or raging on some customer care person on Twitter for their cancelled order of coffee?

Or tweet ourt bigotry towards a community for spreading a virus!

We talk about being a great country to be proud of but really what is so great if there is no real solidarity, compassion and humanity.

Will this all change? Ever change?

But human beings are of being selfless and things will change some day, we might live in more compassionate, equitable and caring world.
