A “R” turned upside down. And the “RY” in Elementary knocked off of the school sign. The building is still standing, but badly damaged.
Floating around in the debris is vase rhis lesson plan. It’s hard to imagine just a few months ago that April 14th was supposed to just be a normal Tuesday. With COVID-19 and this tornado... it is far from it.
Two kindergarten teachers are now going around the area to families and students who lost their homes or have damage and providing them with toys, food, and supplies.
Today they met up with 6 year old Justin at a nearby hotel and gave him a light up globe. A fantastic gift because his teacher says Jacob plays with the map all the time and loves reciting the state capitals. He can name all 50!
