Crash Landing On You is officially #1 in my list. It is a Masterpiece.

It& #39;s not just a love story revolving around the two main characters, Yoon Se-ri and Ri Jeong-hyeok. It& #39;s also a story about friendship, family, and the reality of the whole of Korea.
The only unrealistic and almost impossible moment in the series was when the huge tornado blew Se-ri all the way north, and she survived. But I guess each series has its delusional moments. Everything else that seemed unrealistic, actually happens in real life.
It was very real.
It was very real.
It focused on very real characters, revealing each one& #39;s flaws and each one& #39;s issues. It showed us how people in the whole of Korea, are very much like people outside it. It allows you to connect with the characters and realize, humans are humans, no matter where they come from.
The emotion all throughout the series was very well balanced. It was not always happy, nor was it always sad. A mix of romance, comedy, suspense, and drama, like life itself.
It tackles a whole lot about North Korea. It shows the very distinct differences each country has, but also reveals the many similar traits both south/north Koreans portray. They may live their lives very differently, but they are very much alike.
There is no good or bad country. Each country has their share of good and evil characters. Evil characters driven by their thirst for power and control. Which is very real in our world today. Powerful people seeking more power and will stop at nothing to obtain it.
The show highlighted all throughout the series that each person has problems of their own. And those problems push them to take action either for good or for evil.
A perfect family is not concocted by power, money, status, and wealth, sometimes it& #39;s the very reason for relational destruction. Both Jeong-hyeok and Se-ri came from very powerful families.
One had a sibling who was killed, and the other, a sibling who wants to kill. One was not a father& #39;s favorite, and the other was once abandoned as a child by the mother.
They both found their real family, elsewhere.

The show chooses to see the good in everything. It& #39;s not toxic positivity, it& #39;s hoping for a better tomorrow. There is good in people that pushes them to fight for others, and there is bad in people, but it does not have to stay.
The good still thrive. The bad can change.

Aside from a good storyline and amazing character development, this show has masterful cinematography. Here are some of my favorites.
Slow-mo on point.
This series teaches us to cherish simple moments. Joy can be found in a group of friends, and most of the time, we only realize it once it& #39;s stripped away from us. This lockdown has taught us that.
I still find it hard to believe that they did not continue to build up on these two pretty characters. One lacked development, and the other was a painful taste of real life.
Some people never change, then they die. Some try, but were too late. Then there was Gu Seung-jun, he made it just in time. :(
Another aspect of the series that got me hooked is definitely their soundtrack. IT MATTERS A LOT. The music they used as soundtrack and the classical music played in the series crushed my heart every time.
Storyline, Character Development, Symbolisms, Cinematography, Music. They mastered every element. I don& #39;t see why this show is not perfect! I did catch a few scenes that had flaws but it& #39;s not big enough to rival the masterful aspects!
Lastly, it tackled something very close to my heart. This is the very reason why this show is at the top of my list.
Picture this. You meet a new friend, in the latter part of your life. You develop closeness and think, "Why did I not meet you sooner?"

But what if you did??
The thought of you and that special person having crossed the same path way back before you even met, is mind boggling.

This idea keeps me awake at night. You can never really confirm it, to be honest. Unless you& #39;re lucky enough to have proof through photos or events.
Some people we meet late in life, because we may not have been ready for them, earlier in our story. I don& #39;t know the reason to why it happens, maybe it& #39;s timing or maybe it& #39;s lack in character development?
It& #39;s a fun thing to think about.
That person, sitting in your inner circle right now, may have been standing inches away from you at one point in time, way way back.
