Make some art, sell it, and donate the money that your work has generated.

But EVEN THEN—I want you all to be careful, because not everyone donates ALL the money.

When someone is working from outside of a registered charity or nonprofit organization (which is very different from a *not for profit* organization — beware of those) — always proceed with caution. Ask for receipts, evidence, anything.
