"Why do people like Andrea but not William?"

Answer: Andrea is a three deminsional character that actually serves a real purpose in the plot. The character is well acted and has alot of depth and history based in the comics. William is a potted plant and cheap nohomo prop-
-so poorly writen, that 300k of the general audience got fed up and ditch the show. Nia journalism arch and Kelly screen time have all been decrease to try forcing William's pathetic uncharismatic presence on the audience. The only reason force this character to exist is a-

-sexist idea that more men will fix a female centered show.

Notice how the audience loves brainy/Jesse? Yeah. Its almost like the audience doesn't hate men. The audience just hates cheap nohomo props with no depth or chemistry taking up screen time for no reason.
Back to the Andrea thing. Andrea has history and connection to Lena, a fan favorite character. Andrea has been manipulated by Leviathan and gives a link to leviathan and her presence allows the Russell storyline to be explain. William is redundant and random. Period.

The fact that people only defense for William existence as a character is to insult anyone who criticizes the characters forced presence says alot.

Anyways...
The fact that this is a female centered show might also explain why a random man isnt favorite by the audience. Also, I'm not going to say it but there are other factors besides poor writing and lack of character purpose contributing to the characters lack of fanbase and-
-critical reception.

Honestly if you were running a restaurant and most of the people who came ri the restaurant hated a product, would you keep using that product. Let's just talk buisness sense for a second. Be real.
And also, people critisizing a tv character is never equivalent to a personal attack on the actor and anyone who thinks it is, is a troll and doesn't understand that acting is a product that is sold to consumer for consumption, commentary and criticism. Point blank.
Anyways, the fact that theyve sideline a transgender superhero and a black lesbian character to try wasting time on an un needed bland ass cis het dude br character like William, who was introduced as someone who that treating a women like crap and stealing her work, was a good-

-so called "cover" might have something to do with William's over all lack of good reception even with this new earth prime version who btw is technically a stranger that just appeared in 5x10 if we are going by the logic that earth prime William is different than-
-earth 38 William.

A better question, people should be asking after 16 episode is, why tf is William here? His whole plot was wrapped up in episode 5. Hes not needed as a connection to lex or leviathan. Multiple other characters exist for that. He has no chemistry or history-

-with Kara. There are plenty of other reporters. So real talk. What unique or special thing does the character bring to the show? Answer. Nothing. No charisma, no chemistry, no unique purpose. Just a bland dude, people claim we are required to like...💀💀💀
I'm genuinely wondering if the writer are even trying at this point?🤔
