Ppl. Omfgs.

Last week we got together all the sensible sized coins int house. Divided it into tips for delivery folks to say thanks for your essential work https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đź’–" title="Sparkling heart" aria-label="Emoji: Sparkling heart">

Cos it is essential (esp since we were isolating) & often thankless (full disclosure; I worked in a mail depot once)...
& It was just to show some love, the tips weren& #39;t massive, we don& #39;t have epic amounts of cash kicking about, we just wanted to say "thanks; we appreciate you" yk?

I didn& #39;t rly expect to get a response. But like. So far 1 person has almost burst into tears at getting sth nice…
& today we got a letter back! I& #39;ve crossed out identifying mark (it& #39;s on an envelope) & name of company in the text, bc I don& #39;t wanna get anyone into trouble, eh

It reads "thank you very much for the delivery tip you have me on Saturday! I was flustered and humbled to receive it
"but it was very kind & generous of you.

We& #39;ve been struggling a bit at [company] lately, staff numbers down & volumes up = a toxic combination!

But knowing we& #39;re appreciated by some of the general public really helps! So thanks for putting a spring in my step! :)"
The rest of the letter says what they were getting with the tip etc. It was the nicest letter

I wish delivery companies looked after their staff better. I wish more ppl valued this kinda labour.

But still.

Be good to ppl when you& #39;re able to, y& #39;all https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đź’–" title="Sparkling heart" aria-label="Emoji: Sparkling heart">
