For those of you who lead distributed teams, how do you replace hallways/kitchens? The biggest challenge my newly remote clients have is not having those spaces for pre-post meeting nudges, deals, seed-planting, and unplanned knowledge transfer/intel gathering. I miss this, too.
I think what’s happening in these spaces is: relationships building and relationship management. Some of the most powerful working partnerships I’ve accidentally formed this way - at work and at conferences. How do you replicate this virtually without scheduling more meetings?
