I visited NYC & was treated like an oddity on subway. A rural who was well educated, spoke better than everyone on train and not racist. They all live in a fragile shell of a world and believe everyone strives to live in the burroughs one day
The current lockdown of all American society is to placate these people. The same rules must apply to everyone even if they are insane. They can't discover there are better places to live or the urban pyramid scheme collapses.
Like dogs in a crate, peoples compressed into tiny living spaces are easier to control. Unfortunately disease, ignorance, poverty, violence, and decay spread faster in these situations as well.
The US would have similar death and recovery rates if only the 50 largest cities were locked down. But where's the fairness in that?
They've been told ad nauseum those of us in suburbs and exurbs are vile racists. They don't realize their lives suck. Their schools don't educate. Etc.
