The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics help understand what the full picture might look like

They show up to 3 April an additional 406 deaths linked to Covid-19 in England and Wales, which occurred outside of hospitals http://bbc.in/3a96hl4 
That adds an extra 11% to the official UK figures

Of those extra deaths, 217 took place in care homes, 33 in hospices, 136 in private homes, three in other communal establishments and 17 elsewhere
