Those first #DUNE shots feels like popping straight out from the books alright. Love it. Each "faction" and House carries its own identity while keeping a good visual consticency.. and there is so much more to see.

I also really enjoyed the futurist Arthurian look of the House Atreides battle armors.

made me think of Excalibur right away.

House Atreides! And Stephen McKinley Henderson confirmed as Tuffir Hawat, the Mentat Master of Assassins: The black mark on his lower lip says it all :)

Also in the same shot, we get to see the first technology of the Dune universe: Suspensor Lamps using the Holtzman Effect. Yes yes... the geek has been awaken.

..And that helmet in the background... looks like a mix of medieval futuristic helmet with some Hawk features, symbol of House Atreides.

Also for those who start the war on designs being too close to SW. Dune the illustrated book. Art by John Schoenherr since first publications from 1965 to 1978. It is actually the way around. Dune was one of the visual inspirations for Tatooine.

we still need to see: House Harkonnen, Imperial House Corrino, Sardaukars, the CHOAM ( Combine Honnete Ober Advancer Mercantiles) the powerful Spacing Guild, the Tleilaxus, the Bene Gesserit sisters.. and the freakin' SandWorms :)
