"Gender Critical" is a another way of saying "sex essentialist". They believe that the sex determined at birth by genitals is deterministic. They claime to reject gender roles and stereotypes while simultaneously equating the phallus to an instrument of violence.

This is why you'll find "Gender Critical" feminists portraying themselves as "free" from gender by things like having short hair or wearing trousers, whilst also claiming than men are inherently violent (because penis) and women inherently vulnerable (because no penis)

This is the very bedrock of trans-exclusionary radical feminism (very distinct to radical feminism, which locates the violence as systemic and cultural, not about penis/no penis).
