When a scam artist uses fraud to attack scholarship, it is not to improve scholarship. They& #39;re signalling a political position and a worldview. It is negative, hostile, and rage-filled -- and far more often than not it is an indication that their moral reasoning has been damaged. https://twitter.com/peterboghossian/status/1249911539156414465">https://twitter.com/peterbogh...
Taking 40-50 words to say "pronouns in bio!" isn& #39;t smart. It& #39;s lazy ignorance with a verbal garnish.

The only thing worth noting here is how much time these masters of conversation spend telling their fans they don& #39;t need to read or listen to other people.
But then that& #39;s been the message all along. We hoaxed a few journal reviewers, so entire fields are trash.

Note that this dismissal now includes virtually anything in the humanities or social sciences they dislike -- well beyond the fields the few journals belonged to.
There& #39;s no positive attempt to substantiate actual claims about specific disciplines. The original fraud is asked to sustain an ever-expanding set of claims about fields, institutions, academia, society.

This isn& #39;t scholarship, or even really thought. It& #39;s a rant with a fanbase.
Meanwhile, two of the three fraudsters spend part of their time promoting junk history, while the third defends her own publication of a known fraud and a plagiarist in her journal.

Because, you know, real Science and Scholarship are vital to Civilization.
