Is there guidance on being a peer reviewer? When am I qualified, how do I decide whether to accept, should I base it on familiarity with topic/methods/both? The chances of getting a paper with both a topic I am experienced in and a method I've used seem fairly slim... 1/2

...but I want to get experience & give back (many researchers have given their time to review my work), but it seems unfair to review a paper if someone more qualified to do so could give more insightful feedback and ultimately make for a better manuscript? 2/2
