ADHD-adjacent friends: do you use intentional sleep deprivation as a technique to regain productivity?
More deets: for me, if I'm following an obsession, I can work on ~any amount of sleep, but if I have to do something intidimidating (anxiety-inducing, "it's been a long time" or "what if X happens") or open-ended ("not sure even where to begin") sleep deprivation helps (1/2)
When sleep deprived, my brain is "toned down" and has just enough juice left to consider creative solutions (different from usual) but not enough to go round and round about the risks/consequences/costs (2/2)
(might not be ADHD-related at all, I've never been diagnosed anything officially - just been looking at specific symptoms lists for years and going "oh haha well if that doesn't sound familiar...")

((yes, that's not a good idea, nothing in this thread is a good idea))
