Question for seasoned content creators

I want to invest in some higher spec technology to take photos and produce videos.

Would you suggest an iPhone 11 (or similar) or a good quality camera?

I currently have an iPhone 8 and HD 1080 Logitech webcam but I feel like I need an upgrade for content.

I’m a techphobe so phone is appealing as I’d already know how to use it & it fits my current set up but I can’t help but wonder if a camera is a better investment.

Thoughts?
