My 64k compressor talk from @revision_party is now up!



Thanks for the kind words and chat during the stream; this was much more well-received and appreciated than I ever hoped and it was a blast putting this together!

I know it's dense but that's what pausing is for :) ..in all seriousness this is a pretty condensed version of the blog posts I've had in the pipeline for over a year now. I wish I could tell you I was working on it but I'm working on literally everything else, especially since..

..SOME 64K FOLKS don't have the decency to wait EVEN 3 DAYS after us winning an award before saying they're coming for us, so uh, yeah no pressure right..? :P

So yeah we're trying to be a fast-moving target at least so some of the knowledge dispersion falls by the wayside.

The bright side: it's awesome to see folks motivated and inspired, and I'm extremely proud to have been part of that, and also to have had our tools see some adoption. Even taking time away from our work for fixes FOR THOSE SAME 64K FOLKS HOURS BEFORE THE DEADLINE was a blast! :)

(I also hope those particular folks enjoy this small bit of passive-aggression, it's about as close to shit-talking as it's gonna get before we sit back and let the intros speak for themselves in the next compo... :) )
